Nvidia GTX 770 uses 28nm GK104 GPU which is also been used in GTX GTX 670 and 680 counterparts, but it comes with the addition of Boost 2.0 and faster memory speed. GPU Boost 2.0 works by setting the card’s clock speed under a certain temperature, unlike based on power as set previously.
Stock Version GTX770 | Asus DirectCU II GTX770 | |
Base Clock (MHz) | 1046 | 1058 MHz |
Boost Clock (MHz) | 1085 | 1110 MHz |
CUDA Cores | 1536 | 1536 |
Memory Speed | 7.0 Gbps | 7.01 Gbps |
Memory | 2GB | 2GB |
Memory Interface Width | 256-bit | 256-bit |
The non reference version that Asus provided comes with a bump in base/boost clock, but with significantly better chokes, inductors,MOSFETs, well designed PCB and better cooler packed with 3 years warranty- something that I wouldn’t be surprised seeing now that I have reviewed Asus cards for over series of time.
